Long Live Desperate Housewives
I love Mirriam Defensor Santiago but i hate it that she wants to boycott Susan and the whole Wisteria Lane well atleast here in the Philippines that's no way goin to happen for me i will die its my 2nd all time fave series next to SATC. what do they want pa from ABC? kill Teri Hatcher? nag sorry na nga eh. oo insulting nga talaga yung statement ni Susan especially for those who took it seriously. but for me i know na magaling ang pinoy at hindi basta basta ang mga med school here so i just laugh at it. at there's this one congressman i dont know his name na so epal at kung anu anu ang mga comment na napaka nonsense. hay sana walang umaway skin hehe baka kc isipin nila napakawalang kwenta kong pinoy pinagtatangol ko pa ang ABC well kahit half filipino lang ako nasasaktan ako kapag inaapi ang pinoy but for this one i dont think its pang-aapi or something masyado lang siguro na carried away yung iba sa ganda ng story ng Desperate Housewives at feeling nila hindi na drama series yun kundi reality tv na.

Anovah naman sa paghingi ng kung anu-ano sa ABC?! Ang sa akin naman tama na yung apology ng ABC. Tapos na eh. At least natuto na sila na wag dapat gawing joke ang kakayahan ng mga Pinoy professionals.

Well, anyway, I'm supposed to give my opinion too. Desperate Housewives will always be a favorite show of mine. I won't be hurt watching the stories all over again coz I have a DVD copy of it. However, I'll always think that giving out a harsh, baseless, racist line just like that is extremely irresponsible. I've heard people saying that a reaction like mine is an exaggeration and I understand that they just stand for their opinion. Filipinos, they say, are fond of making jokes to other countries too so why react this way? They actually have a point, if one will think narrowly and see things from a Moron's perspective.
A show like Desperate reaches millions of audiences. Like any other TV programs, they shouldn't poison the minds of their fans with such "racist" attitude. Again, I'll say it, it wasn't only a joke but a direct attack to Filipinos working in the health care industry and to Filipinos in general. I believe all nurses and other med professionals has to pass a series of examinations before they can even work abroad which makes the statement devoid of any understanding.
A cold apology is not enough.
But hey, Gorjess, that was only an opinion. I'm not mad at u. ^_^

Don't worry na baka may magalit sa iyo... I totally agree with you. I think the reaction was so over. Gosh... It was just one line, c'mon. And besides, DH is a comedy series.. so take everthing lightly... haay... Yung mga potician s atin.. wala lang magawa ang mga iyan.
